Begur

image of Begur

Begur is situated inland some 700 ft above sea level, and enjoys a superb view over the whole coastline out over the Medas Islands and inland to Pals.

The village of Begur has recently become a major tourist centre with a wonderful selection of cafés and restaurant hidden amongst the narrow streets of the village.

image of Begur - Sa Tuna A gentle stroll around the village and up to the castle build on the ruins of the fortress destroyed in 1465 is an opportunity that should not be missed.

Begur is now the centre for night entertainment.

The beaches of Sa Tuna, Sa Riera and Aiguablava are a short drive away. The Cape of Begur on which all these beaches are situated consists of an immense geological mass, dropping down to the sea in vertical cliffs.
