Cadaqués is a wonderful place to stay
reached by a windy road over the hills.
Whitewashed houses line the treelined front and
the small, narrow and hilly streets.
Port Lligat to the north of Cadaqués, the summer home to Salvador Dalí.
The entire area has become hip over the last years.
A meeting place for artists.
The beaches are small and dark and pebbly but there are some
interesting walks. Some family run hotels, private apartments
and hostels are dotted on the seafront and through the back streets.
There are numerous art galleries and trendy shops within the
village streets and good museums too.
The gothic church of Santa Maria stands on a prominent spot beyond the bay.
