The town of Palamós was founded in 1277 and the old part is set apart from the new. Palamós 's fish industry is the major industry, with a recently opened fishing museum in the main port.



There is a good beach, a wide selection of restaurants , bars and shops.

In the summer months there are various cultural festivals of music. A town popular with the local community and a buzzing atmosphere all year round.
