Tamariu
With steep cliffs and pine covered hills reaching down
to the Mediterranean, simple houses and open air
restaurant lining the beautiful bay - Tamariu is a
village visited by travellers year after year.
Tamariu is like Calella and Llafranc some 130 klms from the french border.
Originally a small fishing village (like many) and now popular with
tourists of all nations.
There are no high rise blocks, smaller
complex and villas scattered around the hillside of Aigua Xelida
and the beach.
Tamariu has a small selection of village shops, a diving centre
and offers the possibility of renting a boat to explore the
surrounding coastline.
The village of Tamariu is an excellent spot to use as a base to
get to know the Costa Brava.
